When my family moved to Florida, I spent months trying to find the right pediatrician for my children. I made calls, searched practice websites, read reviews, and still struggled to find the information I actually wanted to know about the doctors themselves.
What was their approach to care? What were their areas of expertise? What ages did they treat? Were they accepting new patients? And, ultimately, did they feel like the right fit for my family?
When I finally found a pediatrician I was interested in, I scheduled a meet-and-greet before making an appointment. That conversation gave me something I hadn't been able to find online: a real sense of who the doctor was and what I could expect from their care.
